lyrics
If I accepted this slow-mo apocalypse,
is this how you wanted it?
Statements around your wrists
Reasons to coexist
I've made extensive lists
How I took another sip from the paper cup
Tasted your lips
The slow continental drift
Your knuckles brushing against my hip
An outline, a synopsis
Backwater road trips
Sweethearted communists
Strange how the air was crisp,
but the fog still refused to lift
I wonder what we missed
Window panes thick with mist
I think we finally kissed, but I can't quite remember it
How do you catch it?
Strengthen all the certain colors on the wall
And I am white patches, strength and all
How do you catch it?
If you know what I mean
I wonder what we missed?
Sweeping tectonic shifts
I used to know how a memory slips
Now I just can't remember it

Daily focus-training coupled with strong work ethics pointed toward making life more bearable for others, could turn around this age for the better. This album is beautiful. A force for good. CHOSEN
Like winter branches lined with snow and ice, Sam Ray (Ricky Eat Acid, Teen Suicide)'s latest is delicate, spare, melancholy, and beautiful. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 3, 2018

Up there with Joe's best -- it feels like it pulls from every record he's done before while still being completely distinct from any Cymbals record in the way it combines the psychedelia and accessibility with some of the lushest, most ornately arranged music I've heard. Plus the guitars still rock, the solos fucking slap, and the ballads somehow slap just as hard. The narrative based lyrics also hit a sweet spot in Joe's lyricism -- direct but inventive, descriptive and endlessly compelling. Emmanuel Castillo
